I spent the day watching my two little loves and watching how different and unique they are from one another. It’s funny how parenting works because so many things you come to realise are things you probably already knew? They are the words that you’re mammy told you as a child or words that bring back memories of moments you had when you were small. I think its similar to smelling something familiar and it brings you back to a moment in time and all the amazing memories that moment brought to you. I love that as a mammy the words that now flow out of my mouth have to be encouraging and full of love.
Cadhla-Rose my big little love has been going to Irish Dancing for the last 3months and is just loving it. It makes me so proud to be Irish and so proud to watch her love something so much that she seems to be living and breathing it. She has a while to go before as she says it “is like her Aunty Gillian in Austraya” but for right now she is enjoying it and thats exactly how it should be.
Aoibhie-Faith my chubby little love decided today that ‘cutting her 13th tooth’ was just to awful and if she wasn’t having a good day, why should anyone else? She spent the day yelling, chasing her dog Minnie, throwing things on the floor and hiding behind hats. As you can imagine i was so excited when the clock struck 7pm. What made it all worth while? The big cheesy grin on her face when we walked down to her room to her ted and bottle. In watching the clock myself it never entered my head that she couldn’t wait for the clock to strike 7pm also.
Happy Mammy, Happy Little Loves…
