Today is going to be put down as ‘Silly Sunday’ in the O’Brien household. As the littleloves are still on Spring Break, i decided to take them to Cheeky Monkeys as our lovely friends Camilla, Finley and Sienna had invited us for a playdate. We went off early and for once organised!
We arrived at Al Barsha Mall which to those in Eire it is a little like Co Op with a soft play area attached. However, this shop in particular is quite strict with what you wear and if you are there during prayer time you are pretty much locked into the shop until prayer time is over. Which is absolutley fine- especially since it is a lovely shop and has a starbucks!
When we arrived one of the local men came over to me and let me know my children were adorable but maybe i should re think my outfit. I was a little confused as i was wearing pants and a tshirt so covering all areas. I attempted to go inside and he said i suggest you go home and change.
At this point i said ok lets go! Packed the kids up and went back home to put something longer on (still slightly confused). We got into the lift after parking at home and as i caught a view of myself in the mirror, an alarm went off in my head, slight embarrasement came over me and then the giggles came. The pants i had on were very light material beach pants and i hadnt noticed littleloves puppy Minnie had taken quite a large bite out of an area that should be covering my bottom! Not only that but it was a day for not so pretty underware (washing day).
I got changed took the littleloves straight back to meet our friends for a play and we laughed!
We went home had a swim with Daddy and got into our lovely ‘Fully Intact’ Pajamas!!
It just goes to show no one is perfect- we all make mistakes, i do think it helps to never panic and always take the time to stop and have a giggle.
