Praise the Lord its FRIDAY tomorrow!! Today was one of those funny yet, “When is it bedtime” days! I felt like from the moment we woke up, we were on a show called ‘count the minutes down’ to bedtime. We had a break in the day when we went to meet some beautiful friends who came home from Norway. We had some playtime, dress up fun and yummy treats- it was the highlight of mylittleloves day.
Here is a Little insight into the madness that occured.
– We woke up far to early and gave out to Aoibhie-Faith as she had no reason to be up at that hour.
Only to realise; Actually she does not have all her teeth yet (which we thought she had) and there are 4 back teeth that are pushing through the gums and killing her, which means the rest of the house should feel that pain to. We are a team after all…
– We baked one healthy treat and one not so healthy chocolate (lick your lips) brownie to bring with us when visiting our friends. I put everything on the roof of the car while getting the littleloves strapped in (safety first). I took everything off the roof and drove to the petrol station (why do you always run out of petrol on days like today?) I then realised that one of the baked goods was missing from the passenger seat. I checked the roof but unfortunatly it was gone! To make matters worse, the healthy bake survived. Thankfully our friends had baked beautiful cupcakes so there were no tears…
– We got home and put littlelove Aoibhie-Faith down for her nap. When she woke, her crib was looking a little different (this may have been my fault) as being in my dishevelled state (give me more coffee quick) I forgot to put her in a pull up.
– In the afternoon I had decided that Mr Big Love deserved to come home to a clean house for the weekend. I decided to step up my wifely duties and create a master piece dinner. I heard a commotion in the bathroom and went to find out what was going on. Poor Cadhla-Rose was being pinned down by Aoibhie-Faith who had decided to use her sister as a canvas (with sudocrem). One quick dip in the bathtup and some fresh pyjamas saved the day… however it did not save the dinner that I had forgotten about in the kitchen.
Mr Big Love did say in his vows “I take you for doughy cookies and burnt dinners.” Today was the day I would get to remind him of this.
Sitting down now to a yummy glass of red wine, out of a tea cup (incase someone walks in). Our littleloves are finally asleep and the mammy in me realises, today was pretty hilarious. I think I will look forward to much more chaos, cheesy smiles and cuddles with clean (for now) littleloves tomorrow.
Happy Weekend from mylittleloves to yours xx
