On Sundays… Magic Happens!
Todays magic was brought to us by Hummingbird Home School. Which we frequently turn up to on a sunday.
All you need is…
- A canvas
- Water colour paint
- Cotton wool
- Piece of card or paper
- Very little artistic flare
So… You start off by picking something you would like to paint! Mylittlelove Aoibhie chose an Elephant. Use a piece of paper or card and cut out the shape and stick it loosly onto your canvas.
Then you dab on some water colours and let your littleloves go wild with cotton wool (instead of paint brushes) and of course your fingers!!
If you can get them to start with darker colours so that the brighter and lighter colours remain on the top – other wise you can end up with a brown or black piece! I know this is easier said then done – aoibhie wanted hers to be all black!
We added yellow and white to highlight when they where almost done. I must admit I loved how it looked. Completely messy and a little crazy like our Aoibhie.
We left it dry and then pulled of the shape in the middle and voila!! Instant happiness and the start of a feature wall in our sitting room!
