Ok, So this quote maybe true. I always dreamt of having silky locks like Belle, or that perfect wave with no frizz that Ariel had but sadly frizz is my middle name! Ariel glides in and out of the sea with grace and perfect locks! I on the other hand, look at a pool, feel my hair turning into an afro and then flop into the pool like a dehydrated seal. True. Story!
Rahua is a natural hair care range, even the hair spray is 90% natural which seems to be unheard of with other long lasting holds. It is based on Ungurahua oil that was used by the Quenchua-Shuar tribe. This tribe has been using Ungurahua oil for centuries and believes that using this will grow luscious healthy locks.
I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for 3 weeks now in an attempt to cure the frizz and also to treat my barbie bleached hair. I must admit I am always sceptical when using products just because I have seen celebrities plugging them. I mean if Gwenyth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez uses Rahua, why shouldn’t I? Truth be told – I am a sucker for pretty packing and great adverts!
Thankfully, this was money well spent! I have already noticed a drastic difference.
The Rahua Shampoo (AED210) is infused with Rahua-Ungurahua which fortifies weak, damaged strands while working hard to nourish and regenerate the scalp and hair follicles. Plus, Palo Santo otherwise known as “holy wood” creates Rahua’s signature scent, granting an exquisite, soothing aromatherapy experience while shampooing. Furthermore, Quinoa – a gluten free super-food revitalizes hair while promoting healing and moisture retention. Lastly, but never least are Coconut and Shea Butter Betaines, both of which softly, gently and effectively remove oil and dirt without stripping much-needed nutrients from the hair follicle.
While Rahua Conditioner (AED220) is infused with Rahua-Ungurahua, Palo Santo, Quinoa, Coconut and Shea Butter Betaines you’ll also find the addition of Aloe and Rice Bran Wax. Aloe works effectively to moisturize, energize and regenerates lackluster hair to renewed vibrancy, while Rice Bran gives hold for maximum style durability.
Rahua is on sale now at Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdales, House of Fraser and online at Basharacare.com
