Another week… Another update… Although I have realised this is only my second time doing this and I am already 2 days late! Note to self: Try harder next week!
How far along? 13 weeks
Size? A matchbox car. I started using an app called Ovia Pregnancy and the explanations for things are so much fun!
Total weight gain: The same as last week – but I do feel rounder in the evenings.
Maternity clothes? I have started to look around at the malls but nothing is taking my fancy yet. Also feeling a wee bit superstitious this time around so I think I will wait until the 15 week mark.
Stretch marks? Bio oil and I are still on good terms.
Am I Sleeping? Catching a good few zzz’s – The dreams have turned slightly more bizarre. I actually had a dream a few nights ago that I gave birth to a baby girl. When it was handed to me it was a kitten! I woke up in a bog of sweat! (Must remember to google dreams)…
Best moment this week? Going for the BIG scan The one that you can find out the sex and check all is well with baby. This for me was such an exciting experience. We brought the girls with us and this made it even more special. The Dr was amazing and gave us so much of his time. He really went through every little detail. The girls were dying to find out the sex but we decided it would be nice to keep the last baby as a surprise – luckily we said this out loud before the Dr spoke as he said he knew the sex straight away. The screen was like nothing I had ever seen before. In Ireland we went to our local hospital (CUMH) and loved it, as there was a room for everything. You knew where to go and what would happen in each room. Although in Ireland the scan part was just a quick scan to confirm pregnancy at 12 weeks and then a more detailed one at 20 weeks. I just felt the scan we had was as big as Dubai (so to speak). The Dr ran through any concerns, asked us many questions and made sure we were comfortable with everything before we left an hour later! Props to the Dr for answering all of Aoibhie’s bizarre questions. Some questions more inventive then others.
Miss anything? Still miss having energy. My house needs some serious attention over the next few weeks. I also miss being able to walk past a sink without having to get sick into it. Anyone else have this problem??
Any Movement? As insane as it probably sounds at 13 weeks – Butterflies! Starting to believe you can feel things earlier and earlier the more pregnancies you have.
Food cravings? MILO. An Aussie malt chocolate drink. You mix it into milk and for now it’s the only thing helping me. I have never been a milk lover so I do find this a bit odd.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Everything. Hot drinks, other peoples smells (yes im sure I don’t smell amazing either), our dog, people that have to much after shave on (looking at you Mr O) and so many food groups!
Gender? We decided not to find out even though we could have. Myself, Mr O, Littlered predict a girl. Aoibhie is still thinking boy.
Labor signs? No.
Any Symptoms? Still getting sick in the morning and in the afternoon. Only some evenings though – So that’s a Win for now and trust me any win is a win!
Belly button in or out? In – I don’t think it came out on the other two little’s either.
Looking forward to? A full night sleep and waking to NO nausea.
Favorite wardrobe piece to wear right now? Dresses. You probably wont see me in anything else for quite some time.
Pregnancy related Item I have loved this week? I bought ‘Call The Midfwife’ on Itunes and I am loving it. I had only seen the first two series so now I have up to season 6 to catch up on. Mr O is delighted I’m sure.
1 thing I am currently having trouble with? Nausea 24/7 – Shock!
1 moment I loved this past week? The scan was a huge highlight for us all. I would totally recommend bringing the little’s to you’re scan. It really does make them feel involved.
1 thing I plan to do for myself this week? The clocks have gone back in time and I am back to the spotty teen circa 99’ – Dermalogica facial booked and I am counting down the days, hours and minutes to drool through it. Treat Yo Self!!!
13 weeks – This was supposed to be the week that I would stop feeling nauseas. The week I should be able to walk past a sink or toilet without throwing up and the week I finally start to glow – cue visuals of women with perfectly formed bumps, gorgeous skin, perky boobs, gorgeous full (washed) hair and overall glowing with radiant energy.
I think someone needs to pass this good news onto the baby. I still need to throw up every day. To the people that say “sure its only morning sickness?” I assure you that puking to the point of exhaustion and dehydration isnt fun for anyone. As for having more energy? Forget it – the only thing I want to do at the moment is submerge myself into the pool or fall down like the princess and the pea in a land of mattresses.
Thank you for reading as always!
Love, Helly xx
