Here it is… My honest review on a few days away at a hotel that is only down the road…
Due to Covid and 2020 we decided to explore more of Dubai rather then getting off for the summer. We have found some wonderful hotels that we will want to go back to but Le Royal Meridien blew us away.
• The hygiene standards and I overall social distancing protocol was exceptional. Most people who follow me know I am dettol obsessed so I check every little thing when I arrive pre Covid. Sanitizing was done all the time. I never felt like we were close to anyone. If anything I felt like we were the only people there.
• I had no idea that there were so many amazing restaurants. Honestly – @gealesdubai is our family go to and @mayadubai is our brunch and date night as we are huge Mexican fans but there is also @indyadubai @brasserie2.0 @zengodubai @rhodestwenty10 and our new favorite Italian @lastregadubai so you are literally spoilt for choice. Each restaurant also followed all the social distancing requirements and cleanliness was of high standard.
• They have 3 pools, a gorgeous clean beach and so many parks and a play area also. There is quite a lot of sun beds and shaded areas, I would say even if the hotel was full there would be room for everyone.
• We got a family suite which was more than enough room for us all. I have attached photos of the rooms to show exactly what I mean.
My only down fall (as I am being honest here) my kids have very irish skin so they needed to come out and sit under shade quite a bit (it is hot in Dubai at the moment) but I would have loved one of the kids pools or shallow ends to perhaps have a little shade or sun sail over just so they could continue playing/swimming in the water. They had factor 50 on and rash vests but I still felt a little nervous.
However – That’s it. Nothing else would I change. Everything else was wonderful, including all the staff members – I actually think we each made a new best friend. So @leroyalmeridiendubai you have actually exceeded our expectations and we will 100% be back to jump on those beds, eat til our tummy’s won’t take anymore and watch the sun go down on the most beautiful beach in Dubai.
It was a staycation to remember.
