A few people had asked me on Instagram, what we had planned for the mid term break. I must admit we have plans to be very lazy and really enjoy the no lunch boxes, no alarm clocks (other than FiFi) and lazy starts. However – I love a few plans so this is a few of our favorites to hit up while off school in Dubai.

OLI OLI
10th-27th of February Oli Oli is putting on something exciting. Mission to Mars – A space themed out of this world experience inspired by the UAE’s hope probe! I have never heard of anyone who doesn’t like Oli Oli. Whether you are 1 or 99 there is something for everyone.

DUBAI SAFARI PARK
This Dubai Safari Park is a place we love heading to. The whole family loves it and no one complains about getting there daily steps in as they are so entertained by all the animals on show. I would 100% book online in advance and pick the combo tickets as it offers more. They have lots of food stalls scattered about but we found bringing a picnic basket with rolls/crisps and fruit was a better option. Then splurged on a coffee and ice cream while there. Bring sunglasses, hats and sun cream and you could easily spend the whole day there.

THE POINTE
Not talked about enough in my eyes. It is the perfect place for families or even dog families. A small beach with no waves. You can hire water sports activities which is super fun. There is a bit of a fun fair along that strip also. You can also just bring the skateboards and scooters and go up and down over and over! Our littles love it. So many eateries or you can just opt for a coffee and Icecream. There is also the worlds largest fountain / light show which plays a good amount of Disney music and a few places to get a licensed beverage with your meal. Win for all!

THE BEACH
Who doesn’t love easy, cheap days! We are big fans of kite beach but way way way to the left! Isn’t it so funny when everyone has their own ‘spot!’ It always makes me laugh. We pack our own treats, bring half our home and enjoy the fresh air. Whilst staying miles away from everyone else. My friend Yas introduced me to La Mer recently and I must admit – I loved it. Park up, scooters and buggy out of car and roll right to the beach. No dragging everything in different directions. We also got a cheap kite in Ikea and for the 30dhs it probably cost it’s been used more then some expensive toys we own.

GREEN PLANET
A rainforest in the desert. What’s not to love? There is something for everyone here. A play area, cafe, more importantly the rainforest itself with so many knowledgeable animal lovers roaming around to give you all the information you need. We learn something new every time we come here and it really is a marvel. The sleepy sloth is the cutest little love ever!

That’s just a few ideas and places that spring to mind. What ever you decide to get up to this mid term break – Keep those masks on (properly), keep washing those hands and remaining as safe as possible.
Big love, Helly x
